Uğurcan Çakır (born on April 5, 1996) is a Turkish professional football player. He plays as a goalkeeper for the Süper Lig club Trabzonspor. He is also the captain of Trabzonspor and plays for the Turkey national team.

Club Career
Uğurcan Çakır started his journey in youth football clubs like Çekmeköyspor and Yamanspor. He then joined 1461 Trabzon and later Trabzonspor's youth teams.
Early Years and Loan
Uğurcan Çakır made his first professional appearance for Trabzonspor in 2015. This was during a UEFA Europa League qualifying match. He also played in three Turkish Cup games, where he managed to prevent the other team from scoring twice. He became the second-choice goalkeeper for a while.
In January 2016, like many young goalkeepers from Trabzonspor, Çakır was sent to 1461 Trabzon on loan. This was to help him get more playing experience. He played his first game for them in a 2–1 win. During this game, he gave away a penalty and got a yellow card.
He continued to play for 1461 Trabzon in the Turkish League 1. However, he struggled to keep clean sheets and conceded many goals. After an ankle injury, he returned to Trabzonspor in June 2016.
Becoming a Regular Player
In the 2016–17 season, Uğurcan Çakır did not play any games for Trabzonspor. He was mostly on the bench.
His big chance came in the 2017–18 season. On September 22, 2017, at 21 years old, he made his debut for Trabzonspor in a league game. The first-choice goalkeeper got injured, and Çakır stepped in. Even though his team lost, his performance impressed the manager. He then played in the last five games of the season.
In the 2018–19 season, Çakır was the second-choice goalkeeper. But in January 2019, the main goalkeeper retired. This made Uğurcan Çakır the first-choice goalkeeper for Trabzonspor. He played 18 league games that season.
International Career
Uğurcan Çakır made his first appearance for the Turkey national team on May 30, 2019. This was in a friendly game against Greece. He started the game as the goalkeeper.
In June 2021, he was chosen to be part of the Turkish team for UEFA Euro 2020. He was also selected for the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament in June 2024.
