Ulf Gunnar Ekberg (born 6 December 1970), also known as Buddha, is a Swedish musician, producer, and songwriter. He is best known as a founding member of the popular pop group Ace of Base. He started the band with siblings Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren, and Jenny Berggren.

Music Career and Success
Ace of Base released their first album in 1992. The band became very successful throughout the 1990s. Ulf Ekberg played a big part in making the Happy Nation album. He helped write almost all the songs on it.
Ekberg continued to write and produce music for the group's later albums. He notably worked on singles like "Love in December" and "All for You." In 2009, he started a new music company with Jonas Berggren. This company helps produce and manage music artists.
Helping Others
After Ulf Ekberg experienced a tsunami in Phuket, Thailand, he wanted to help. He started the Surin Relief Fund. This fund helps children who were affected by the tsunami. It provides places for children to learn and cares for children who lost their families.
Ulf Ekberg's Personal Life
Ulf Ekberg dated Swedish model and actress Emma Sjöberg from 1994 to 2000. He lived in London until 2010. Currently, he lives in Stockholm with his girlfriend, Johanna Aybar, and their three children.
When he was a teenager, Ulf Ekberg was involved with some groups that held extreme views. He has since said that he deeply regrets his actions and beliefs from that time. He has spoken many times about how much he has changed and learned from his past. In a 1997 documentary, Ekberg said he truly regretted what he had done and that "that life is not me. It's somebody else."
In 2013, he explained that he had done many interviews about his past. He said he was very sorry for associating with certain people in the 1980s. He also made it clear that Ace of Base never shared any of those extreme opinions. He stated that the band strongly opposes all extreme views.
