What's the Story About?
The book introduces you to all the main characters. First, there's Uncle himself. He has a group of loyal helpers. These include the Old Monkey, Cloutman, Gubbins, and the One-Armed Badger.
But not everyone is friendly! Uncle also has enemies. They are known as the Badfort crowd. This group includes characters like Beaver Hateman, Sigismund Hateman, Nailrod Hateman, and Filljug Hateman. There are also Jellytussle, Hootman, and Hitmouse. They are always trying to cause trouble for Uncle.
Throughout the book, the Badfort crowd tries many tricks. They cause a lot of funny and exciting problems. At one point, they build a cinema. But it's a trap! Inside, they hide an iron cage. They manage to trick Uncle and trap him in the cage.
Luckily, Uncle's friends come to the rescue! They launch a surprise attack. His allies work together to free him from the Badfort crowd's sneaky plan. The book is full of exciting moments and funny characters.
