History of the University of Paris-Seine

This group of schools first came together in 2012. It was known as the "Université du grand ouest parisien." This name meant "University of the Great West of Paris." It was a way for universities and research places in western Île-de-France to work as a team. They covered many subjects, like science, engineering, and business.

On March 1, 2015, the group changed its name. It became the "University of Paris-Seine." This change followed a new law about higher education in France. The University of Paris-Seine closed on January 1, 2020.
