The University of Colorado Boulder is a big public school, also known as a university, located in the city of Boulder, Colorado. It's a place where students go to learn after high school. About 30,196 students attend this university. It first opened its doors in 1876.

Sports at CU Boulder

The sports teams at the University of Colorado Boulder are known as the Buffaloes. They have 14 different varsity teams. Varsity teams are the main sports teams that represent the university in competitions. The Buffaloes play in a group called the Pacific-12 Conference. They joined this conference in July 2011.
