University of Lausanne facts for kids
The University of Lausanne is a big university located in Lausanne, Switzerland. It's a place where many students go to learn and researchers work to discover new things. It started a long time ago, in 1537, as a school that taught about religion. Later, in 1890, it officially became a university.
Today, about 12,000 students attend the university, and around 2,200 researchers work there. It's a very international place, with about 1,500 students coming from all over the world to study in Lausanne.
