The University of Nova Gorica, also known as UNG, is a cool place for learning in Slovenia. It's actually the fourth university ever started in this country! You can find its campuses in the towns of Nova Gorica, Vipava, and Ajdovščina.

A Look at UNG's History
The University of Nova Gorica started small. It grew from a place called the School of Environmental Sciences. This school was created in 1995. The City Municipality of Nova Gorica and the Jožef Stefan Institute helped set it up.
Later, in March 2006, the Nova Gorica Polytechnic changed its name. It became what we know today as the University of Nova Gorica. Since then, it has grown a lot. Today, it has many different schools and research centers.
