Uranagong is a small place, also called a locality, located in the Riverina district of New South Wales, Australia. It's a part of the vast and beautiful Australian landscape.

Uranagong's Railway Past

Uranagong was once a busy spot because of its railway station. Between 1912 and 1950, a railway station and a "siding" (a short track where trains could wait or be moved off the main line) were located here. This was part of the Oaklands railway line, which helped connect different towns and transport goods.

What Happened to the Station?

The railway station at Uranagong closed down in 1950. This means it was no longer used for trains to stop or for people to get on and off.

What Uranagong is Like Today

Even though the railway station is gone, the old train tracks are still there. However, if you visit Uranagong today, you won't find any signs of the old station building. It has completely disappeared over time.
