His Early Life and Learning
Ustad Allah Baksh was born in 1885 in a small town called Wazirabad, in Punjab. He was very lucky to learn from Master Abdullah, who was a great artist of miniature paintings. Allah Baksh started learning art when he was just five years old. By the time he was fourteen, he had developed his own unique painting style.
He also learned from Master Meeran Bakhsh Naqash. Master Meeran was a well-known teacher and painter. He was also the Vice Principal of the Mayo School of Arts. This school is now known as the National College of Arts in Lahore.
Preserving His Artistic Legacy
Ustad Allah Baksh's amazing art is kept safe in the National Art Gallery. There is a special section there just for him. It celebrates him as one of the greatest master painters from Pakistan and the Indo-Pak region.
His old studio, where he spent most of his time painting, has been turned into an academy. It is called "Allah Bux Academy." This academy now helps new artists learn and grow in the style of this great master.
