Uwe Gensheimer (born October 26, 1986) is a German former professional handball player. He is known as one of the best players in his position, especially for his "magic wrist" which helped him score many goals.
Uwe played for the German national team for many years. He was even their captain starting in 2014. He played his last game on May 31, 2024, before retiring from the sport.

Uwe's Handball Journey
Uwe Gensheimer started playing handball at a young age. He joined his first youth club, TV 1892 Friedrichsfeld, in 1997. He played there until 2003, learning the skills that would make him a star.
Club Career Highlights
Uwe spent most of his career playing for two main clubs.
Rhein-Neckar Löwen
Uwe played for Rhein-Neckar Löwen in Germany for a long time. His first period with them was from 2003 to 2016. He returned to the club in 2019 and played there until his retirement in 2024.
With Rhein-Neckar Löwen, he helped the team win some big titles:
- The EHF Cup in the 2012–13 season. This is a major European competition.
- The German Championship in the 2015–16 season. This means they were the best team in Germany.
- The German Cup in the 2022–23 season.
Paris Saint-Germain
Between his times at Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Uwe played for Paris Saint-Germain in France from 2016 to 2019. During these years, he helped them win many French titles:
