On December 20, 2023, Västra Frölunda IF announced a partnership with IFK Göteborg. This agreement allows IFK Göteborg to loan younger players (under 23) to Västra Frölunda IF. In return, the clubs share knowledge, and IFK Göteborg helps pay for a head coach. This helps both clubs grow and develop their players.
