Chitra Kamaraj (born May 2, 1992 – died December 9, 2020) was a famous Indian television actress and anchor. Many people knew her as V. J. Chitra. She became very popular for her role as Mullai in the Tamil TV show Pandian Stores. She also acted in a movie called Calls (2021).
Chitra was known for hosting many TV shows and acting in popular series. Some of her well-known shows include Vilayadu Vaagai Soodu, Sattam Solvathu Enna?, Saravanan Meenatchi (season 2), Chinna Papa Periya Papa, and Velunachi. She passed away on December 9, 2020.

How Chitra Started Acting
One day, a famous actress named Raadhika saw Chitra hosting a TV show. Raadhika was impressed and offered Chitra a role in a TV series. This show was called Chinna Papa Periya Papa (2016). Chitra acted alongside experienced actresses like Nirosha and Nalini.
Popular TV Shows
Chinna Papa Periya Papa was a big hit! Because of its success, Chitra got many more acting offers. She joined other popular shows like Saravanan Meenatchi and Velunachi. Her most famous role was Mullai in Pandian Stores. This character was loved by many viewers. After Chitra's passing, the role of Mullai was taken over by Kaavya Arivumani.
Chitra's Only Movie
In mid-2019, Chitra signed up for her first and only movie role. The film was titled Calls (2021). In this movie, she played a professional who worked in a business process outsourcing company. The movie was filmed in late 2019 and was released after her death.
Chitra's Personal Life
Chitra got engaged to a businessman named Hemanth Ravi in August 2020. They officially registered their marriage in October 2020. Their wedding ceremony was planned for February 2021.
