Valérie Benguigui (born July 8, 1961 – died September 2, 2013) was a talented French actress and theater director. She was born in Oran, Algeria.
Valérie loved acting from a young age. She studied at famous acting schools like Cours Florent and the National Chaillot Theatre School. Her very first movie role was in a film called On a volé Charlie Spencer in 1986.
She became well-known for her role in the TV series Avocats et associés, where she played a character named Nadia Botkine from 2000 to 2005. Valérie also directed and produced several plays during this time. In 2012, she starred as Élisabeth in the movie What's in a Name? (also known as Le Prénom). This role was a big success for her! She won a César Award for Best Supporting Actress for it. She was also nominated for a Molière Award for her theater work.

Valérie Benguigui was married to Eric Wapler, who was an actor and also managed restaurants. They met while studying acting together. They had two children.
Her Passing
Valérie Benguigui passed away on September 2, 2013, in Paris, France. She was 52 years old. She died from cancer, which she had been battling for three years. Valérie was buried at Montparnasse Cemetery.
