Valerie Landsburg (born August 12, 1958) is an American actress, director, writer, and singer. She is most famous for her role as Doris Schwartz in the 1982 TV series Fame. She also sang the main vocals on the song "Hi Fidelity," which was a top five hit in the UK. Her father, Alan Landsburg, was a well-known producer.

About Valerie Landsburg
Valerie Landsburg was born in New York City. Her mother, Sally Landsburg, was a psychologist and writer. Her father, Alan Landsburg, was a producer.
Valerie started her acting career in 1978 in the movie Thank God It's Friday. In 1980, she took on the role of Libby in Neil Simon's play I Ought to Be in Pictures.
Her Time on Fame
In 1982, Valerie joined the cast of the TV series Fame. She played the character Doris Schwartz. While working on the show, Valerie also wrote and directed one episode.
After leaving Fame in 1985, she appeared in two comedy TV series. One was You Again? with Jack Klugman, which ran for one season. The other was All Is Forgiven, created by the people who made Cheers. Even though All Is Forgiven only had nine episodes, it became more popular when it was shown again on the A&E network.

Valerie Landsburg has had many other acting roles. She appeared in TV series like Hotel and Dream On. She also guest-starred in popular shows such as Murder, She Wrote, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Nip/Tuck.
