Vallejuelo is a town located in the San Juan province of the Dominican Republic. It is a part of the country with a rich history and a welcoming community.
History of Vallejuelo
The story of Vallejuelo began a long time ago. The very first people to settle in this area made their homes in a place called Rio Arriba, which is in the southern part of the region. This happened around the year 1880. These early settlers came from the Cibao region, another important area of the Dominican Republic.
Later, in 1912, more families arrived in Vallejuelo. They moved from nearby places like Hondo Valle and El Cercado. These new families helped the town grow and develop into the Vallejuelo we know today.
