Vanessa Nicole Marano (born October 31, 1992) is an American actress and producer. She has been in many TV shows and movies. You might know her from shows like Without a Trace, Gilmore Girls, and Grey's Anatomy. From 2011 to 2017, she played Bay Kennish in the TV series Switched at Birth on Freeform.

About Vanessa Marano's Early Life
Vanessa Marano was born in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Ellen, owns a theater for children called the Agoura Children's Theatre. Vanessa's younger sister, Laura Marano, is also an actress. Vanessa can speak Italian, and her father has Italian family roots.
Vanessa Marano's Acting Career
Vanessa Marano started acting when she was just seven years old. Her mother actually didn't want her children to be in show business. She took Vanessa and her sister Laura to an agent she thought would say no. But Vanessa was accepted, and her sister Laura also impressed the agency!
Since then, Vanessa has worked in many productions. Some of her first big TV roles were as Jack Malone's older daughter in Without a Trace. She also played Valerie's stepdaughter in The Comeback. You might also remember her as April Nardini in Gilmore Girls.
Vanessa also appeared in the movie The Clique, which was based on popular books. She was also in Dear Lemon Lima. She even starred in an episode of Ghost Whisperer with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Vanessa played Eden on The Young and the Restless and Hope on Scoundrels.
From 2011 to 2017, Vanessa had a main role as Bay Kennish in the ABC Family TV show Switched at Birth. In 2019, she acted alongside her sister Laura in the movie Saving Zoë.
