Vasile Miriuță (born September 19, 1968) is a professional football manager and former player. He is currently the head coach for the Liga III club Sănătatea Cluj.
Vasile was born in Romania. He was a midfielder during his playing career. He played nine matches for the Hungarian national team. He even scored one goal for Hungary in a friendly game against Spain in 2002. Vasile was known for his amazing free kicks and smart playing style. He helped Energie Cottbus get promoted to the Bundesliga in 2000.

Vasile's Playing Career
Vasile Miriuță started his football journey in 1986. His first team was Maramureș Baia Mare. In 1991, he joined Dinamo București, a big club. He played regularly there for a while.
Moving to Hungary
In 1992, Vasile decided to move to Hungary. He signed with the Hungarian team Győr. Fans quickly loved him there! In 1993, he played for a French team called Bourges for one season. But he soon returned to Győr.
After his second time at Győr, Vasile played for Videoton in 1996. He then moved to Ferencváros, another well-known Hungarian club. He spent two years there. Later, he joined Újpest, but he didn't play any league games for them.
Playing for Energie Cottbus
In 1998, Vasile joined Energie Cottbus, a team in Germany's second division, the 2. Bundesliga. He quickly became a key player for them. He helped the team stay in their league during his first season.
In 2000, Vasile and Energie Cottbus achieved something special. They were promoted to the Bundesliga, which is Germany's top football league! In their first season in the Bundesliga (2000–01), Vasile was one of the regular players. He scored 12 goals that season and was even voted into the Bundesliga Best XI, which means he was one of the best players in the league! He left the club in 2002.
Later Years as a Player
After leaving Energie Cottbus, Vasile joined MSV Duisburg in 2002. He didn't play as much there, often coming on as a substitute.
In 2003, Vasile returned to Győr for the third time! He played there for another season. In 2004, he joined Budapest Honvéd. He ended his contract there after a disagreement with the coach and then retired from playing football.
International Football for Hungary
In 2000, Vasile Miriuță became a Hungarian citizen. He had applied for it back in 1994. Soon after, he was asked to play for the Hungarian national team. His first game for Hungary was a friendly match against Macedonia, which Hungary won 1–0.
Vasile played for Hungary for three years. He played in 9 matches and scored one goal. That goal was in a 1–1 friendly game against Spain in 2002.

After his playing career, Vasile Miriuță became a football coach. He has managed several teams.
