Vasily Vyacheslavovich Utkin (born March 6, 1972 – died March 19, 2024) was a very famous Russian sports reporter. He was also an author, TV host, and even an actor! Many people, including other sports experts and players, thought he was the most talented football commentator in Russia during his time.
He became well-known in the mid-1990s. He was a football commentator for TV channels like NTV and NTV-Plus. He also hosted a popular TV show called "The Football Club." Later, he continued this show on his own YouTube channel. Vasily Utkin won the TEFI award, which is a big prize for TV professionals, twice for "Best Sports Commentator" in 2004 and 2005.
From 2010 to 2015, he was the main editor for NTV-Plus sports channels. He also hosted a fun game show called "Big Question" on the STS channel. Later, he worked for Match TV and Eurosport as a commentator. He also helped own the Sports.ru website. Vasily Utkin was also the owner of a special kind of football club called Egrisi, which played in "media football" games.

Vasily Utkin passed away in Moscow on March 19, 2024. He was 52 years old. The first reports said he died because of a pulmonary embolism, which is a serious medical condition.
