Vaughn Bean was an American professional boxer, born on September 3, 1974. People called him "Shake & Bake" because of his exciting style. He was a heavyweight boxer who fought for world titles twice, in 1997 and 1998.

Vaughn Bean started his professional boxing career with many wins. He won 27 fights in a row! This success led him to a big chance to fight for a world title.
Fighting for the Heavyweight Title
In 1997, Vaughn Bean got to challenge Michael Moorer for the IBF Heavyweight title. Not many people knew about Bean at the time. Even so, he fought very well against Moorer. It was a close fight, and Bean lost by a small decision from the judges.
After that, Bean won four more fights. This earned him another shot at a world title! This time, he faced Evander Holyfield, who held both the WBA and IBF Heavyweight titles. Bean fought hard, but he lost this fight too, by the judges' decision.
Later Fights
After his second title challenge, Vaughn Bean kept fighting. He won 11 more fights in a row. This led to another important match, this time against Vitali Klitschko. Klitschko was a very strong boxer. He won the fight in the 11th round when the referee stopped the match.
In 2004, Bean had two more fights where he lost by decision to Tony Thompson and Yanqui Diaz. In 2005, he also lost a fight to a rising star named Alexander Dimitrenko. Vaughn Bean retired from boxing after a long career.
