The Vegetarian Society (Singapore) or VSS is a special group in Singapore. It's a non-profit organization, which means it doesn't try to make money for itself. It's also a registered charity, helping people and causes.
VSS started in 1999. Its main goal is to teach people about vegetarianism. They also connect people and groups who are already vegetarian or want to learn more. VSS is the biggest community in Singapore for people who eat vegetarian, vegan, or mostly plant-based foods. A big part of their work is encouraging everyone to try a plant-based diet.
VSS is connected to bigger groups too! It's a member of the International Vegetarian Union (IVU) and the Asian Vegetarian Union (AVU). This helps VSS work with similar groups all around the world.
