About Veladero
Veladero covers a land area of about 51.1 square kilometers (which is about 19.7 square miles). In 2010, around 1,727 people lived there. This means that for every square kilometer, there were about 33.8 people.
How Veladero Was Created
Veladero was officially created on March 7, 1997, by a special rule called Law 10. Later, two more laws, Law 5 (from January 19, 1998) and Law 69 (from October 28, 1998), helped to make its creation complete. In the year 2000, the population of Veladero was 1,575 people.
