Victoria "Vicki" Vann, born on July 14, 1963, is an American country music artist. She is also a successful businesswoman. People have called her the "Cinderella of country music." She was featured in a Country Music Television (CMT) show. This show, called "Waiting in the Wings," talked about the challenges faced by African American music artists in country music.

Early Life and Music
Victoria Vann was born in Los Angeles, California. Her father was a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning gospel group, Mighty Clouds of Joy. Her mother worked as a model and later as a bookkeeper.
As a child, Vicki heard many types of music. These included gospel, jazz, and country. But she loved country music the most. Some of her biggest musical heroes were Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn. Her dad was also a huge influence. He wanted her to become like Aretha Franklin.
Vicki was very shy when she was young. In high school, she was named Homecoming Princess. She was also voted "most shy" by her classmates. She later studied psychology at Occidental College. Then she earned a master's degree in education. In college, she found a love for acting. This helped her deal with her shyness.
After college, Vicki became a kindergarten teacher. But she also worked on her singing. She performed with her band in Southern California. She played at street fairs and festivals. She even traveled to Zürich, Switzerland, to play at a big country music festival. After four years of teaching and singing, Vicki decided to focus on music full-time.
Music Career Highlights
Vicki Vann released her first solo CD, Miracle, in 1999. In 2002, she released her second CD, Vicki Vann. She then went back to Switzerland to perform at a large country music festival. This festival is now called "The Internationales Country Music Festival."
Her CD called Dream Catcher was very popular in Europe. Her song "This Is Where I Get Off" became a hit in 30 countries. Vicki Vann is now one of the most requested female artists in international country music.
Vicki was very excited when CMT filmed her for the "Waiting in the Wings" documentary. This show explored the history of African Americans in country music. It also looked at why few have become famous country artists. Vicki Vann was one of five young artists featured in the documentary.
In 2011, Vicki released her album Reckless Heart. This album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. It featured 13 songs. The music on Reckless Heart was a tribute to the classic country sounds of the 1960s and 1970s.

Magazine Editor
In 2000, Vicki Vann joined Beverage Industry News Magazine, also known as BIN. She worked as a journalist and helped organize articles. She also hosted videos for the magazine. In 2005, she became the Editor-in-Chief of BIN Magazine.
Araceli Spirits
Vicki is also a successful businesswoman. She is the founder and CEO of Araceli Spirits, LLC. This company imports and distributes her own special drinks. These include Araceli Marigold Liqueur and Tequila Mascota.
In 2015, she launched Araceli, the world's first Marigold Flower Liqueur. She named it after herself. Vicki thought of this idea while traveling in Mexico. The liqueur honors the marigold flower and Mexican culture.
Her newest creation is Tequila Mascota. This tequila helps animals in need. A part of all sales from Tequila Mascota goes to animal shelters and rescue groups. This project combines her love for animals with her favorite spirit.

Vicki Vann is a Christian. She believes her faith in God is very important to her. She has said that music also plays a big part in her life. She feels that music brings life, healing, and hope.
Victoria speaks English, Spanish, French, a little Portuguese, and German. She loves learning about world history and different cultures. She often studies the history and languages of the countries she visits. She sometimes uses her Spanish name, Araceli. In Spanish, Araceli means "Altar of Heaven."
