Victoria Barbă went to art school in Saint Petersburg. At that time, the city was called Leningrad. She also studied in Chișinău, which is the capital city of Moldova today.
After her studies, she became a director of animated films. She focused on making movies that children would love. She worked for a film studio called Moldova-Film. This studio was in the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Victoria Barbă also started her own company called Floricica Production House. This company was created to make even more films for children.
