Victoria Civera Redondo was born in 1955. Her hometown is Puerto de Sagunto in Valencia, Spain. She went to art school at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia. She studied there from 1973 to 1977.
Victoria is married to another artist named Juan Uslé. Sometimes, they even work on art projects together! They have a daughter, Vicky Uslé, who was born in 1981. Vicky also grew up to become a painter, just like her parents.
Her Art Journey
Victoria Civera had her very first solo art show in 1980. It was at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Santander. Since 1987, Victoria and her family have lived in two places. They split their time between New York City and Saro, Cantabria, in Spain.
Victoria's art often finds special meaning in everyday objects. She also uses shapes that repeat in her work. Some of her art explores how space and volume work. She likes to try new things with shapes, both on a canvas and in sculptures. In 2017, Victoria Civera won an important award. It was called the Tomás Francisco Prieto Prize.
