Victoria Jackson-Stanley (born August 20, 1953) is an American politician. She served as the mayor of Cambridge, Maryland. She was the first African-American and the first woman to be mayor of Cambridge.

Victoria Jackson-Stanley grew up in Cambridge, Maryland. When she was young, schools were separated by race. This meant black and white students went to different schools.
Early Life and Education
In the 1960s, Cambridge faced challenges related to race. By the 1970s, schools began to integrate. This meant students of all races could attend the same schools. Victoria Jackson-Stanley was among the first black students to attend Cambridge High School. Before becoming mayor, she worked as a social worker. She was the deputy director for the Dorchester County Department of Social Services.

Victoria Jackson-Stanley lives in Cambridge with her husband, Jerome. They have a daughter and a grandson.

The 2008 Election
On June 10, 2008, voters in Cambridge held a primary election. Victoria Jackson-Stanley and the current mayor, Cleveland Rippons, were the top two candidates. This meant they would face each other in the general election.
The general election took place on July 8, 2008. Victoria Jackson-Stanley won with 1,383 votes. Mayor Rippons received 1,231 votes. People in Cambridge felt that economic growth was more important than a candidate's gender or race. Victoria Jackson-Stanley was sworn in as mayor on July 21, 2008.
Serving Multiple Terms
She won her second term as mayor in July 2012. She then served a third term from 2016 to 2020. In 2020, she ran for re-election but was defeated. Andrew Bradshaw, a local businessman, won the election.
Recent Appointment
In June 2024, Governor Wes Moore appointed Victoria Jackson-Stanley to a new role. She joined the Maryland State Board of Elections's board of directors. She took the place of Janet Millenson.
