Villa Castelli is a small town in the Province of La Rioja, in northwestern Argentina. It is also the main town of the General Lamadrid Department. In 2010, about 1,697 people lived there.

Villa Castelli is found about 140 kilometers (87 miles) west of the city of La Rioja. The town sits at the base of the Sierra de Famatina mountains. The Vichina River flows nearby, adding to the area's natural beauty.
A Notable Event in Villa Castelli
In March 2015, an accident involving helicopters happened in Villa Castelli. This event, known as the Villa Castelli helicopter collision, was widely reported. Sadly, ten people passed away, including some well-known French athletes. Among them were Florence Arthaud, Camille Muffat, and Alexis Vastine.
