Early Life and Artistic Journey
Virginie Egger was born in Geneva, Switzerland. She loved art from a young age and studied at an art school there called the Centre de Formation Professionnelle Arts Genève. After finishing her studies, she moved to Quebec, Canada, in 1988.
From Animation to Illustration
When she first moved to Canada, Virginie worked in animated films for eight years. This means she helped create cartoons and moving pictures. After that, she started a new path, becoming an illustrator. She began drawing pictures for different magazines and, most importantly, for books written for young people.
