Lucie Papineau (born April 26, 1962) is a well-known Canadian writer. She lives in Quebec and is famous for writing many wonderful books for children.
About Lucie Papineau
Lucie Papineau was born in Longueuil, Quebec. She studied communications at the Université du Québec à Montréal. After finishing her studies, she started writing for young readers.
From 1987 to 1989, Lucie wrote for Petit Devoir. This was a special weekly section for kids aged 6 to 12. It was part of the newspaper Le Devoir. Since 1990, she has also written a regular column. This column is about children's books for Magazine Enfants Québec. She also works as a director for a publisher. She helps create baby books and picture books for Dominique et compagnie.
Award-Winning Books
Lucie Papineau's first novel was La Dompteuse de perruche. It came out in 1990 and won an award. This award was from the Association canadienne d'éducation de langue française
. Her 1991 novel, La Dompteuse de rêves, also won a prize. It received the "Livres 92" award. This award was given by the Association des consommateurs du Québec.In 1998, she published Pas de taches pour une girafe. This book had lovely pictures by Marisol Sarrazin. It also won a special prize called the Mr. Christie's Book Award.
