Virolet facts for kids
Virolet was a fun weekly magazine for kids. It first came out in January 1922. Think of it like a bonus section that came with another magazine called "En Patufet". The main person in charge of Virolet was Cardenal Casañas. The same company that made "En Patufet" also published Virolet. This company was a bookshop owned by Josep Bagunyà.
Each issue of Virolet had 8 pages. They were about the size of a standard piece of paper. At first, it was printed in Barcelona. But after 1924, it was printed at Josep Bagunyà's own printing place. Getting a year's subscription cost 5.50 pesetas. One single issue cost 0.10 pesetas. Pesetas were the money used in Spain a long time ago.
Virolet stopped being published on January 3, 1931. It ran for nine years and published 469 issues. When Virolet ended, a new children's magazine started. It was from the same company and was called "Esquitx".
