Viterbo is a charming town and a municipality (like a local government area) in the Caldas Department of Colombia. It officially became a municipality on December 31, 1951. A priest named Nazario Restrepo Botero founded the town on April 19, 1911. The current mayor, Jhon Mario Giraldo Arrubla, helps lead the town.
People often call Viterbo "El Paraiso Turistico de Caldas," which means "The Touristic Paradise of Caldas." It earned this nickname because of its warm weather all year round. Many vacation homes, farms, and condos are built in the area. The friendly people of Viterbo, known as 'Viterbeños,' also make it a welcoming place to visit.
Where is Viterbo Located?
