About Vittorio Catani's Life
Vittorio Catani was born in Lecce, Italy. He later lived and worked in Bari, another city in Italy. Before becoming a full-time writer, he worked at a bank.
How He Became a Writer
Vittorio Catani started writing and publishing his work in 1962. He mostly wrote stories in the fantasy and science fiction styles. His very first novel was called Gli universi di Moras. This book won a special award called the Premio Urania in 1990.
His Published Works
Vittorio Catani's stories and articles appeared in many big newspapers and magazines. His books were also translated into several languages in different European countries. He wrote for the newspaper La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno. He also helped edit online websites like "www.fantascienza.com".
His second science fiction novel was Il Quinto Principio. It was published in December 2009 by Urania magazine. Vittorio Catani passed away in Bari when he was 80 years old.
