Vivian Louise Brown is an American television meteorologist. A meteorologist is a scientist who studies the Earth's atmosphere and weather. Vivian Brown was well-known for her work at The Weather Channel. She worked there for almost 30 years, from 1986 to 2015. She often helped host the show Weather Center Live.
Early Life and Education
Vivian Brown was born in Greenville, Mississippi. Later, when she was a teenager, her family moved to Jackson, Mississippi. She went to Jackson State University. In 1986, she earned a degree in meteorology. This means she studied weather and how to predict it.
Her Career in Weather
Vivian Brown had a long career at The Weather Channel. She worked there for 29 years. During her time, she hosted several popular shows. From 2003 to 2006, she hosted Afternoon Outlook. She then moved to PM Edition Weekend from 2006 to 2010.
Later, she hosted Day Planner from 2010 to 2013. After that, she co-hosted Weather Center Live from 2013 until 2015. Vivian Brown announced she was leaving The Weather Channel on September 1, 2015. She shared that she was looking forward to new opportunities.
Life Outside Work
Vivian Brown is a mother of three children. She has kept her personal life mostly private.
