Vivinho played as a striker, which means he was one of the main players responsible for scoring goals. He played for several big clubs in Brazil's top football league, the Série A.

Vivinho's Football Journey
Vivinho started his professional football career in 1983. He played for different teams, showing his skills as a goal-scorer.
Early Days and First Wins
Vivinho began playing for his hometown club, Uberlândia. This was in 1983. He played 26 games in the top Brazilian league. During this time, he scored five goals. In 1984, his team won the Série B championship. This was a great start to his career!
Success with Vasco
In 1986, Vivinho joined Vasco, a very famous club. He played 54 games in the Série A for Vasco. He scored 13 goals during his time there. Vivinho helped Vasco win the Campeonato Carioca (a state championship) in both 1987 and 1988. The team also won the national Série A championship in 1989. He left Vasco in 1990.
Moving to Botafogo and Goiás
After leaving Vasco, Vivinho joined their rivals, Botafogo. He played for Botafogo until 1993. During these years, he played 52 games in the Série A. He scored four goals for the club. In 1993, he also played 10 games for Goiás. He scored four goals for Goiás in that year.
Final Club and Retirement

Vivinho's Passing
Vivinho passed away on September 13, 2015, when he was 54 years old. He became unwell at his home and was taken to the hospital. Sadly, he did not recover.
