The Vocabulario de la lengua bicol (which means Vocabulary of the Bicol language in Spanish) is a very old dictionary. It lists many words from the Bicol language. A man named Marcos de Lisboa collected these words. He did this while he was working in the Bicol Region in the Philippines.

About the Author
Marcos de Lisboa was a Franciscan friar. This means he was a member of a religious group called the Franciscans. He lived in the Philippines for many years, from 1586 to 1618.
Lisboa's Work in the Philippines
Lisboa worked in an area called Ambos Camarines. In this region, the Bicol language was spoken by many people. He was there from around 1592 or 1602 until 1616. Marcos de Lisboa later died in Mexico in 1628.
The Dictionary's Publication
The Vocabulario dictionary was first printed in 1754. This was after Marcos de Lisboa had passed away, which is called being published posthumously.
Later Editions
A second version of the Vocabulario was printed in 1865. Bishop Francisco Gainza ordered this new edition. This dictionary was very big. The Bicol-Spanish part had 10,495 words and was 417 pages long. It was printed on large paper, about 22 by 33 inches. The Spanish-Bicol part had 5,588 words and was 103 pages long.
