The Story of Volvic Water
The first water springs in the Volvic area were found and used in 1922. The very first bottles of Volvic water were sold in stores in 1938.
In October 1993, a big company called Groupe Danone bought the Volvic company. Since 1997, Volvic has used a special type of plastic called PETE for their bottles. This plastic can be recycled, which is good for the environment.
In 2020, Volvic became a "carbon-neutral" company. This means they worked to balance out the carbon they put into the air. Also in 2020, Volvic started working with a gaming group called Berlin International Gaming.

Volvic's Advertising Campaigns
Volvic has used famous music and people in its advertisements. The song "Bombay Theme" from the 1995 film Bombay was used in a TV ad. Famous football player Zinedine Zidane also appeared in Volvic commercials starting in 2000.
One special campaign was called "1L = 10L FOR AFRICA." For every one liter of Volvic water bought, the company promised to provide ten liters of clean drinking water. They did this through a program with World Vision in countries like Ghana, Malawi, Mali, and Zambia. This program helped build wells for communities.
Another campaign was the "14 Day Challenge." People were encouraged to drink 1.5 liters of Volvic mineral water every day for 14 days. The idea was to help people feel more hydrated and healthy.
In 2006, Volvic became the first brand owned by Danone to sponsor TV shows. This sponsorship was on the E4 channel. It included popular shows like How I Met Your Mother, The Inbetweeners, The Goldbergs, and 2 Broke Girls. They also sponsored survival shows like The Island and Eden.
In 2007, Volvic released a series of four funny adverts. These ads featured a volcano named George, voiced by Matt Berry. They also had a T-rex named Tyrannosaurus Alan, voiced by Tom Goodman-Hill.
Volvic and Health Studies
A study in 2006 looked at how drinking Volvic water might affect people with Alzheimer's disease. The study found that drinking Volvic could help lower the amount of aluminum in their bodies. Scientists have been looking into a possible link between aluminum and Alzheimer's disease.
