Véronique Cloutier (born December 31, 1974), often called Véro, is a well-known Canadian TV and radio host. She has hosted many popular shows on Radio-Canada, including La Fureur and Véro. Her daily radio show Le Véro Show on Rythme FM is one of the most listened-to programs in Quebec.

About Véronique Cloutier's Career

Véronique Cloutier started her journey in media at a young age. She worked on radio programs while still in high school and college. Her first time on television was in 1990 on a show called Les mini-stars.

Early Days in Television

In 1993, Véronique got a job at the TV channel MusiquePlus. There, she hosted several music-related shows like Combat des clips and Le décompte MusiquePlus. From 1995 to 1997, she even had her own show called Véro Show.

Joining Radio-Canada

In 1997, Véronique moved to Radio-Canada, a major Canadian TV network. Her first show there was a quiz show. Her career really took off when she started hosting La Fureur. This was a weekly game show where famous people answered questions about music. It became incredibly popular, with over 1.2 million viewers every week.

Hosting Big Events

Véronique also hosted important events. In 1999, she hosted the Gala de l'ADISQ, which is Quebec's biggest music awards show. In 2002, she was the host for a special event called La Fureur de Céline, where 15,000 fans watched Céline Dion perform.

In 2008, Véronique hosted the Prix Gemeaux. This is an awards show for French Canadian television, similar to the Gemini Awards. She also hosted Radio-Canada's yearly New Year's TV special, Bye Bye, in December 2008. This show, which she also helped produce, received many comments from viewers.

Other Projects

Beyond hosting, Véronique has also tried acting. In 2002, she starred in her first movie, Les Dangereux. She also worked with the Royal Canadian Mint in 2007. She was a spokesperson for their advertising campaign in Quebec for three years.

Véronique Cloutier is married to Louis Morissette, who is a French Canadian comedian. They have three children together: two daughters named Delphine and Raphaelle, and a son named Justin.

In 2024, Véronique Cloutier was honored as a knight of the National Order of Quebec. This is a special award given to people who have done great things for Quebec.
