William John Loftie (born July 25, 1839, in Tandragee, Ireland – died June 16, 1911) was a British writer and a church leader. He was well-known for writing many books about the history of London, travel, art, and buildings.

About William John Loftie

William John Loftie went to college at Trinity College, Dublin in Ireland. After working in churches for a while, he started writing for a newspaper called the Saturday Review. Later, he also wrote for the National Observer. He was very good at combining facts and interesting stories in his writings, especially about old places and history.
