Wabamun Lake is a beautiful lake located in Alberta, Canada. It's about 65 kilometres (40 miles) west of Edmonton, Alberta, a major city. This lake is quite large, stretching about 19.2 kilometres (11.9 miles) long and 6.6 kilometres (4.1 miles) wide. It covers a big area of 82 square kilometres (32 square miles). At its deepest point, Wabamun Lake is about 11 metres (36 feet) deep. The name "Wabamun" comes from the Cree language, and it means "mirror." This is a perfect name, as the lake often has calm waters that reflect the sky and surroundings like a mirror!
