Walston, Pennsylvania facts for kids
Walston is a small, unincorporated community located in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, in the U.S. state of the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
History of Walston
Walston began to grow around the year 1883. This was when a railway line, called the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway, was built to reach the coal mines in the area. The railway helped transport the coal found there. A post office has been open in Walston since 1885, helping people send and receive mail.
