Walter Mikac is an Australian pharmacist born on April 29, 1962. He became well-known after a very sad event in Australian history called the Port Arthur massacre. During this event on April 28, 1996, Walter lost his wife, Nanette, and his two young daughters, six-year-old Alannah and three-year-old Madeline. They were among 35 people who died that day.
