Walter de Fauconberg, 1st Baron Fauconberg (died 1304) was an important English noble. He was known as the 1st Baron Fauconberg. He owned lands in places like Rise, Withernwick, and Skelton. Walter's Life Story
Walter was the oldest son of Piers de Faucomberg and Margaret de Montfitchet. In 1295, he was asked to join the parliament. This was a meeting of important people to discuss laws and decisions for the country. Through his wife, Agnes, Walter gained control of the Barony of Skelton. He fought in wars in a region called Flanders. He was also one of the nobles who signed the famous Baron's Letter in 1301. Walter passed away in 1304. He was buried at Nunkeeling Priory in Yorkshire.
