History
Wanborough got its name from a place called Wanborough in England. In the spring of 1826, a special kind of community was started here. It was known as a socialist colony. This idea came from a man named Robert Owen. In this type of community, people worked together and shared resources. The goal was to create a fair and equal society for everyone. However, this particular community in Wanborough did not last very long.
