Wardal facts for kids
The Wardal were an Aboriginal Australian people. They lived in the Mid West and Goldfields-Esperance areas of Western Australia.
Wardal Country
A researcher named Norman Tindale estimated that the Wardal people's traditional lands covered about 38,850 square kilometers (15,000 square miles). This area stretched from Lake Carnegie west and northwest to Well 11 (Goodwin Soak) on the Canning Stock Route. Their land also reached Lake Nabberu in the south and went as far west as the Old Bald Hill Station, near Beyond Bluff.
What Their Name Means
The name Wardal seems to mean 'west'. So, it can also mean 'westerners', referring to people from the west.
