What Does Wardija Tower Look Like?
Wardija Tower has a design similar to other De Redin towers. It has a square shape and two floors inside. There is also a small turret, which is a small tower, on its roof. Even though it follows the standard design, Wardija Tower is a bit smaller than the others.
How Was It Used?
When it was first built, Wardija Tower was armed with two cannons and two mortars. These were used to defend the coast and keep watch for any dangers approaching by sea.
History of the Tower
After the time when the British were in Malta, the tower was no longer used. It became empty and was not looked after for a long time.
Recent Restoration Work
