Warren Ballpark is a famous sports stadium in Bisbee, Arizona. It's known for baseball and football. This ballpark is very old, built way back in 1909. That makes it one of the oldest baseball stadiums still standing in the United States! It was even built before Chicago's famous Wrigley Field.
Today, it's home to the Bisbee Killer Termites and the Bisbee High School Pumas baseball and football teams. In the past, it hosted teams like the Tucson Saguaros and the Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings.

History and Design of Warren Ballpark
How Warren Ballpark Was Built
The Calumet and Arizona Mining Company built the ballpark in 1909. They wanted a fun place for their miners and their families. It cost about $3,600 to build, which was a lot of money back then!
What Warren Ballpark Looks Like
The ballpark is huge, covering about 40 acres. A tall, 8-foot wooden fence surrounds the whole area. It's split into two main parts. On the east side, there's a baseball field. On the west side, you'll find a football stadium.
The Baseball Field Grandstand
The baseball field has a special grandstand. This is a covered seating area made of concrete. It was built in 1909 and is still in its original shape! This grandstand is so old and important that it's listed as a state historic building. Underneath the grandstand, you'll find the dugouts, locker rooms, showers, and offices for team managers.
The Football Field
The football field runs from north to south. It has modern metal bleachers (seats) along both sides. Sometimes, these bleachers have been moved to make the baseball outfield bigger.
Warren Ballpark's Role in History
Warren Ballpark is more than just a sports field. It played a part in American history. In 1917, during a big labor disagreement, about 1,300 miners were gathered and held at the ballpark. This event is known as the Bisbee Deportation. It shows how important this place was to the community, even beyond sports.
