Warrenton is a small community in Texas, United States. It's located in northeastern Fayette County. This area is known for its history and unique attractions.
William Neese started Warrenton in 1847. He named the new settlement after Warren Ligon, an early settler. Many German families moved here, along with some English-speaking settlers. They created small farms. They grew crops like cotton and corn. They also raised dairy animals.
Warrenton grew a lot in the late 1800s. In 1873, it got its own post office. The town had over 100 people. There were churches, schools, and businesses. After 1900, the soil wasn't good for crops. So, people started raising cattle and chickens instead. By 1950, Warrenton had 180 people. In 1985, the population was about 50. But, 12 antique stores opened up. St. Martin's Church is also here. It's a very small Catholic church. It measures 12 by 16 feet. These places bring visitors to Warrenton. By 2000, the population grew to 65 people.

The Lone Star Glamp Inn
