Warsaw is a small, unincorporated community in Kaufman County, Texas. An unincorporated community is a place where people live, but it does not have its own local government. Warsaw is located within the large Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area. In the year 2000, about 58 people lived there.
History of Warsaw
The area that is now Warsaw was first settled a long time ago, even before 1840. It was originally known as Warsaw Prairie. A post office opened in Warsaw in 1847. This helped people send and receive mail. The post office stayed open until 1858. By 1936, Warsaw had 15 residents and two businesses. The community grew to 58 people between 1988 and 2000.

Warsaw is located on Farm to Market Road 148. It is near Warsaw Creek. The community is about 7 miles (11 km) southwest of the town of Kaufman. This area is in the southwestern part of Kaufman County.
