Waterford, Knox County, Ohio facts for kids
Waterford is a small place in Knox County, Ohio, USA. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of the wider county area.
How Waterford Started
Waterford was first planned and settled in 1841. Before that, a post office was set up nearby in 1836. This post office was known as "Levering." Even though the community itself was named Waterford, the post office kept the name Levering. It helped people send and receive mail for many years, staying open until 1903.
