Waukon Junction is a small, unincorporated community located in Allamakee County, Iowa, in the United States. An unincorporated community is a place that does not have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it is usually managed by the county it is in.
History of Waukon Junction
Waukon Junction began to grow when a railroad line was built through the area. The railroad helped connect the community to other places. This made it easier for people and goods to travel.
In 1902, the community had a population of 58 people. By 1925, more people had moved there, and the population grew to 75. This shows how the railroad helped the community develop over time.
