Wayne Dockery (born June 27, 1941 – died June 11, 2018) was a talented American jazz musician. He was known for playing the double bass, which is a very large string instrument, like a giant cello, that makes deep, rich sounds. Wayne Dockery played with many famous jazz artists, including George Benson, Sonny Fortune, and Archie Shepp.
